Day 2: Saturday, November 23, 2024
Accra City Tour
We hope you’ve rested well because today, you will tour Ghana’s capital city of Accra. Filled with historical sites and history, after a leisurely breakfast buffet at the hotel, we will board the buses and head out on the town! You will see W.E.B. DuBois’ residence and resting place, have a photo opp at Black Star Square, visit Osu’s famed Christiansburg Castle, and then stop for lunch over looking the Atlantic. We will resume the day with a visit to the newly renovated Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum, and conclude our day with shopping at Arts Centre. Dinner will be at a local restaurant. Afterward, you’re free to retire at the hotel, or put on your party clothes and go for a Saturday night on the town!

Day 3: Sunday, November 24, 2024
Bojo Beach Day
Sunday will be a true day of rest – ON THE BEACH! After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel buffet, we will depart for one of the most picturesque beaches just outside the city. Bojo Beach! You will take a boat across the Densu River and enjoy a day on the Atlantic Coast. For those who wish to stay at the hotel, you may take advantage of the wonderful spa packages offered at Kempinski (make sure to book in advance). Dinner will be at a local restaurant, and as always, nighttime activities are available!

Day 4: Monday, November 25, 2024
Bunso Eco Park, Boti Falls & Aburi Botanical Gardens
Today is the first of two relatively early days as we will depart the hotel to take a 1.5 hour road trip to Bunso Eco Park for a fun family activity. This is an ideal spot both for adventure and relaxation – with ziplining, horseback riding, and a Kiddz Play Zone. From Bunso Eco, we will travel to visit the beautiful Boti Falls and see the majestic Umbrella Rock. Make sure to bring your cameras for both of these excursions.
After the adrenaline rush, we will meet up for lunch and a community service activity in Nyame Bekyere, the home village of our trip organizer and Founder of The Adinkra Group, Mr. Diallo Sumbry. There, you will have a traditionally prepared lunch and have an opportunity to interact with the people of the village.
On our way back to Accra, we will stop for a visit at Aburi Botanical Gardens and the Craft market before heading back to Accra for dinner.
Are there activities for the evening? Of course there are!

Day 5: Tuesday, November 26, 2024
Kakum National Park, Cape Coast Castle, African Ancestry Reveal & Renaming Ceremony
Early day two begins with breakfast – either at the hotel or a packed meal to be enjoyed on the 2.5-hour road trip to Cape Coast. A police escort will allow us to move quickly from Accra to Ghana’s Central Region where we will take you to Kakum National Park – featuring 7 suspension bridges which form a 333-meter long canopy walkway, suspended up to 27 meters above the forest floor from trees that are over 300 years old!
From Kakum, we will experience Cape Coast Castle Dungeon. For those who had previously signed up, we will also hold a reveal of African Ancestry at the Door of Return and a renaming ceremony for everyone.
We will conclude our journey celebrating resilience and faith with a delicious lunch at Mabel’s Table and return to Accra for dinner and relaxation.
And for those who want to go out…..the option is available!

Excursions Day
You chose them – now it’s time to DO them! It’s excursion day! Filled with activities of your choosing, after breakfast, you will spend the day cooking, shopping, ATV riding, touring, bead-making, or visiting the baboons!
After a day of activities, you will have dinner and……nightlife if you like!

A Ghanaian Thanksgiving
We start our Day of Thanks in Ghana with three R’s: restoration, reflection, and recognition. You have the option of spending a lovely day by the pool, taking advantage of Kempinski’s wonderful spa services, or simply meditating on the past couple of days of activities. We will convene for a private Thanksgiving Dinner overlooking Accra at an exclusive, private location. And…..yes – nightlife activities for those who are interested.

Day 8: Friday, November 29, 2024
Kumasi – The Cultural Capital of Ghana
This morning, we will head to Kumasi – the cultural capital of Ghana. A police escort will ensure the trip is as speedy and uneventful as possible as you have a packed breakfast on the road. Upon arrival a full buffet breakfast will await you before your trip to Bonwire - the famed kente cloth weaving village, where you can try your hand at making some kente cloth and even purchase your.own!
After Bonwire, you will head to the Ntonso Adinkra Stamping Village, where you will see the process for making the dye and stamping hand-woven cloth - and even do some yourself!
You will have lunch at a local restaurant (provided) and then head to Manhyia Palace - the seat of the Asantahene, the King of the Ashanti Kingdom. While there, you will learn about the history of the Ashanti people and the history of the kingdom. You will also have an opportunity to visit the Kumasi Mall to shop and explore ahead of returning to Accra for dinner. After dinner and dessert, nightlife is on the menu!

Aqua Safari Resort
After breakfast we will head east for about 1.5 - 2 hours to the beautiful Aqua Safari in Ada to spend the day. Aqua Safari is giving pure vacation vibes. You can relax in the cabana next to the pool, take a cruise around the lake, go horseback riding, play games, jet ski or just chill. Aqua Safari has an incredible Lunch buffet laid out for you.
We end the day in Ada with an incredible, fun and blow out final dinner farewell celebration.
